We are looking for the next Production Planning Supervisor to join our Planning team located in South Brunswick, NJ!
About You
As the Local Supply Chain Planner, you will be responsible to plan supply chain. You will enforce adherence to relatable KPIs, SOPs, documentation, email compliance, and quality assurance to meet and exceed productivit and safety goals. You have at least one year of experience in a planning role and be able to multi-task in high stress environments, have strong and effective communication skills, and the abiltiy to work independently with little supervision. You will have working knowledge of SAP, SD, MM, PP specializing in planning modules.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Plans raw materials and the production of products and semi-finished products (makes daily/weekly plans).
Actively inspects stocks and ensures their timely consumption. It ensures efficient use of material resources.
Calculates the needs for raw materials, semi-finished products and products according to the needs in the system and planning their productio
Comletes and helps completing production plans; monitors work results and progress; establishing priorities; resolving problems; identify and escalate any risks to future production plans (ie material supply, technical approval, process capability); work with the production planning and operation’s supervisors to validate/analyze actual operational capability versus theoretical capability
Maintains standard operating procedures by monitoring steps of the process; setting process variables; monitoring personnel and resources; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points or record-keeping systems; implementing change
Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests. Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports; maintain management’s on time performance levels
Initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation and collaboration between departments with diligent communication via email, phone and face to face.
Maintains quality service by enforcing organization standards. Maintains safe and clean work environment with established policies and procedures
Completes and implements any new department projects and assignments. Assists for new product launches and/or product forecasts
Manages departmental budget; requisitions all needed supplies
Required Skills
Must be able to multi-task in a high stress environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point
Demonstrated skills in team leadership, conflict management, time management, process management and customer servicing. Driven for results.
Must be able to interact well with various departments within the facility.
Strong and effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to develop processes and procedures without systems in place.
Required Experience
At least one year or more experience in a planning role
Degree in chemistry, economy or other technical degree.
Efficient English (C1)
Solid working knowledge of SAP.
