What You'll Get to Do The Manufacturing Engineer is focused on development and implementation of manufacturing engineering and production system best practices across the plant and reports to the Operational Excellence Manager.
This role is perfect for an individual who wants to be responsible for the implementation of corrective actions, proactive quality, and efficiency improvement processes. A vital member of the Operational Excellence Team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Job responsibilities include: * Create and maintain process flow diagrams, PFMEA's, control plans and Work Instructions * Time studies and line balancing * Material flow and layout best practices * Responsible for the implementation of corrective actions and proactive quality and efficiency improvement processes * Lead the development (or selection) of processing best practices based on rigorous data analysis and the implementation of such processes across the organization ensuring processes are effective and efficient
What We Are Looking For * 3+ year experience with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related professional experience with failure mode effects analysis and control plans is required * Aptitude to provide operational training and influence others towards achieving objectives * Proficiency to perform thorough root cause analysis: A3 Thinking and DMAIC problem-solving * Understanding and practical application of continuous improvement methods -- Lean Sigma certification desirable * An uncompromising safety-first approach in the workplace.
