How You'll Perform the Role Under the direction of the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for the full management and performance of the Extrusion Department in the safe production of high-quality film (blown film extrusion). The Extrusion Manager will be responsible for all aspects of this 24/7 high-volume production environment including: safety, quality, production management, personnel management, technical solutions, materials management, reporting, training, etc. Ensure safety and quality are at or above company standards Consistently meet production goals Manage department/shifts by providing daily coaching, oversight, and troubleshooting, training, performance reviews, and providing performance feedback to employees to ensure all performance goals of the plant in relation to safety, waste, quality and productivity are achieved Manage materials and leverage off-set materials; forecasting and managing material usage, production output, labor cost, scrap rate, change-over times, etc. Manage and control department operating costs Responsible for all extrusion employees and equipment in the facility Establish/maintain effective working relationships with customers and suppliers Successfully partner with corporate materials management and supply management personnel in the proper management and processing of materials What We Need From You B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering, preferred Experience working with blown film extrusion, preferred Strong commitment to all aspects of safety Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple shifts and manufacturing personnel Strong history of meeting production goals Strong technical ability; Must possess troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience mentoring and coaching shift leads and employees Experience with 5S, Six Sigma, or other Lean Manufacturing Experience with GMP and food safety policies What You'll Get From Us Benefits With safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being
