Introduction
This is a strategic procurement role that is critical to ensure competitive supply of high-quality materials and services to the GlobalFoundries Singapore operations. The role is global in nature, with a large pool of stakeholders and leadership team in Singapore, Malaysia, Germany, and the US
Essential Responsibilities:
Define sourcing strategy(s) for assigned commodity(ies) in alignment with the objectives of the Global Supply Management organization and the respective Global Commodity Head
Plan and conduct commercial negotiations and support global negotiations as required
Actively utilize strategic tools, processes & systems to perform sourcing and analytical/reporting tasks (Jaggaer, Spend Analytics, Power BI, Clean sheeting, Negotiation Planners, SAP Ariba, SAP iCertis, etc).
Identify continuous improvement opportunities, alternative sourcing strategies, global price trends, and communicate progress / achievements to realize maximum value and organizational objectives
Monitor the local and global market to identify potential new suppliers, product derivatives, and product innovations
Analyze, manage, and control contractual agreements and prepare renegotiations to achieve commercial and technical objectives
Establish a robust business continuity sourcing plan for assigned commodity(s) via mapping supply base and geographic risks with corresponding mitigation plans
Support escalations from Regional Strategists by engaging suppliers for prompt resolutions
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Business Administration and/or relevant field of study
2-4 years relevant work experience in an industrial environment
Proficiency in sourcing related skills including sourcing strategy development and execution, contract management and supplier performance management
Ability to lead projects and cross-functional teams
Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and influence stakeholders and team members
Good problem-solving skills, in analytics
Ability and willingness to travel internationally including China, Malaysia, Japan, USA, and Germany from time to time
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of process materials used in electronics manufacturing, quality requirements and related supply base
Experience in a semi-conductor environment or related industry
