Description

Robert Half is seeking an HR Generalist to join our clients team. Your main function will be to carry out full-cycle recruiting, manage leave of absences, handle documentation, disciplinary processes, and performance reviews.

Job Summary: The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in the Human Resources department, supporting various HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of HR practices and employment laws and will be adept at managing multiple HR tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating hiring processes.

  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and positive experience.

  • Conduct new employee orientations and coordinate training sessions.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and resolving issues in a timely manner.

  • Promote a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.

Performance Management:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems.

  • Support managers in conducting performance appraisals and developing performance improvement plans.

Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.

  • Conduct benefits orientations and provide ongoing support to employees regarding benefits inquiries.

Compliance and Recordkeeping:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.

  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for audits and inspections.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and coordinate the delivery of training programs.

  • Support employee development initiatives and career development planning.

HR Projects and Initiatives:

  • Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and enhancing employee engagement.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in an HR generalist role or similar capacity.

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Proficiency in Paylocity.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
