Requisites
Associate degree in accounting preferred, or equivalent experience considered.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable.
This position reports directly to the Assistant Controller.
This position is considered regular, full-time, and requires a minimum in-office schedule of 40 hours per week. This may also include occasional travel.
Responsibilities
Code documents and post transactions according to company procedures; check figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes.
Access computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts.
Reconcile expense reports and credit card statements to supporting documentation, code and post transactions.
Prepare bank deposits, verifying and balancing receipts, and sending cash, checks, or other forms of payment to banks.
Reconcile records of bank transactions.

Process credit applications and trade reference inquiries.
Compile reports pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and commissions
Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store and analyze information.
Operate 10-key calculators, scanners and copy machines to perform calculations and produce documents.
Perform general office duties, such as going to the Post Office, taking deposits to the bank, filing, handling routine correspondence.
