The Power & Controls Aftermarket Accounting Services Manager position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate across multiple business units within the Power & Controls Aftermarket Organization. As a key member of the Aftermarket Finance Senior Leadership Team, you'll play an integral role in supporting the FlightSense organization, a center of excellence for commercial flight hour and pooling contracts, and Military and Commercial Spares Accounting, which handles approximately $1B in annual sales. FlightSense, with its growing footprint across the US and internationally, is a strategic pillar for Collins Aerospace and executive leadership, overseeing 50+ programs and a continuous stream of new contracts. This dynamic and evolving business presents an exciting challenge for a motivated self-starter with strong communication, teamwork, organizational, and analytical skills.

In this role, you'll lead all aspects of accounting, from month-end close and financial reporting to balance sheet forecasting, EAC support, and internal controls. You'll have the opportunity to drive process improvements, develop new processes, and provide critical financial insights to measure performance, forecast trends, and identify risks and opportunities.

What You Will Do

  • Support month-end and quarter-end financial reporting and earnings release processes for the Commercial Spares, Military Spares and Flight Sense Business

  • Manage organization’s Sarbanes Oxley compliance efforts. This role will lead the SOX control processes including the risk assessment, GAP assessment, documentation standards, testing efforts and issue remediation.

  • Develop the Aftermarket Accounting & Controls team for best practices and the streamlining of standard work.

  • Assist with internal and external audit requirements, including special strategic projects

  • Lead and develop a team of 7 accounting specialists.

  • Coordinate with the technical accounting team to address proper accounting for non-recurring significant transactions.

  • Support the Aftermarket business in special projects and ad hoc analysis.

  • Develop Balance Sheet and Cash Flow analysis and projections.

  • Utilize CORE tools to drive process improvements and develop standard work.

  • Inventory verification and standard costing

  • Review and approve Sarbanes-Oxley testing, GAP assessments, annual ACA review and account reconciliations

What You Will Learn

  • Play a key role in developing the Aftermarket Accounting & Controls team, fostering best practices and streamlining workflows

  • Gain extensive experience in financial reporting and compliance processes, supporting month-end and quarter-end reporting for key business units including Commercial Spares, Military Spares, and FlightSense

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract ​

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Industry or public accounting firm experience in accounting, program finance, audit, or consulting

  • Previous supervisory experience

  • CPA preferred or accounting degree

  • Project management experience, meeting deadlines

  • Process improvement experience

  • Experience with SAP

  • Experience with OneStream

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
