Job Title: Structures Technician
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Structures Technician with experience in aircraft sheet metal and structures work. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience performing work on military fixed wing, corporate aircraft, or CRJs. While an A&P license is preferred, it is not required. The candidate should be able to repair and fabricate sheet metal structures, read blueprints, and work closely with avionics technicians on complex modifications and upgrades. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in detailed rebuilds and structural modifications at our MRO facility.
Responsibilities
Remove and install aircraft components, landing gear doors, access panels, and fairings on aircraft as they relate to structure repair/modification or obstruction of tasks assigned.
Document work performed per appropriate manuals.
Perform component repairs in accordance with Repair Station Certificate as required.
Fabricate aircraft parts and ground support equipment per engineering drawings and specifications as required.
Fabricate and install structural modifications on aircraft.
Assist in conducting hidden damage inspection.
Apply cleaning solvent and proper sealing compound according to maintenance and structural repair manuals, engineering manuals.
Comply with all environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
Inspect parts including warranty inspection for warranty consideration as required by site.
Essential Skills
2+ years of experience performing structures work.
2+ years of experience performing work on military fixed wing, corporate aircraft, or CRJs.
Ability to repair and fabricate sheet metal structures.
Experience reading and interpreting aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
Knowledge of maintenance manuals, parts catalog, and applicable FAA documents.
Experience in the fabrication of sheet metal and/or composite components and assemblies.
Skill to troubleshoot and repair aircraft deficiencies and perform complex structural repairs.
Proficiency in operating basic sheet metal support equipment.
Basic set of hand tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Sheet metal/composite SC tech school or equivalent experience.
Willingness to work overtime if available.

Work Environment
The candidates will be working in an indoor, clean, corporate business jet repair facility. There are two hangars, one for the Challenger and the other for Globals and Lears. Professionalism, cleanliness, and safety are critical as customers are regularly present with their aircraft. Teams of 8-10 mechanics work under one lead, and there are about 10-12 leads reporting to a project manager.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor Locks, Connecticut.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
