Job Title: Aircraft Engine Mechanic
Job Description

The Engine Technician troubleshoots, performs maintenance, and repairs aircraft engines and related aircraft components.
Responsibilities
Adhere to company and/or hangar positions.
Comply with Environmental/Health/Safety policies and procedures.
Participate in 5-S activities.
Perform all work in a safe and timely manner.
Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and perform maintenance on engines and related aircraft problems.
Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
Remove, install, and replace aircraft engines and accessories.
Assist with performing complete engine runs.
Operate ground support equipment.
Assist with off-aircraft component repair.
Perform mechanical and electrical removals and installations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Airframe & Powerplant Certificate
0 – 2+ years of aircraft maintenance and repair, or substantiated equivalent experience
Previous experience in A/C turbine engine maintenance
Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
Effective communication skills in both written and verbal form on aircraft status
Basic PC skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience on either corporate or commercial jet aircraft (preferred)
Tug qualified (preferred)
Forklift qualified (preferred)
Ground Support Equipment qualified (preferred)

Work Environment
Second Shift (Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2:00am) and Weekend Shift (Friday-Sunday 3/12's, works 36 hours; paid for 40).
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor Locks, Connecticut.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $48.00/hr.
