Actalent Manufacturing Engineer in Winchester, Kentucky

Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our production operation. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and resolving various machine and process problems such as chip control, machine crash recovery, stability, capability, short stoppages, and recurring machine operation issues. You will also be tasked with creating and improving training and standardization of operations including operator control panel interfacing, measurements, machine offsets, tool changes, resetting alarms, and coolant maintenance. Your role will also involve identifying and implementing kaizen improvements such as short stop reduction, cause and effect identification/solution, fatigue reduction, and single piece flow operations. Furthermore, you will use statistical methods to understand process variability, capability, and drive process improvements and develop contingency plans for capacity/productivity change.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Winchester, Kentucky.

Work Environment

You will be working in a climate-controlled machining environment. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week with minimal overtime required.
