Robert Half Finance & Accounting - Experienced Professional in Wilton, Connecticut

Description We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk based in Wilton, Connecticut. The role involves supporting our finance team within the telecom industry, focusing on the accounts receivable and deductions work streams. The position allows the flexibility to work remotely and requires a dedication to core business hours.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure daily cash receipts are posted accurately and efficiently

• Investigate and resolve customer queries related to their accounts

• Perform customer account reconciliations to ensure accurate records

• Assist with month-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

• Request support documentation on deductions from customers or brokers as needed

• Research and identify the reason for customer deductions

• Update deduction reason codes status and comments as they change

• Dispute unauthorized deductions to maintain financial integrity

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites for data management and reporting

• Leverage strong communication skills to interact with customers and resolve disputes

• Use SAP S/4HANA for managing accounting functions and customer experience

• Handle customer service related tasks, including phone presence and providing support documentation Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) functions

• Strong customer service skills

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites including advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Ability to research and resolve account discrepancies

• Experience in finance and accounting functions

• Good phone presence and communication skills

• Experience in handling customer account queries

• Ability to perform dispute resolution

• Strong computer skills including familiarity with Laptop Hardware

• Experience in month-end close activities

• Understanding of the concept of deductible

• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA would be a plus

• Experience in QA management

• Ability to provide good customer experience

• Skills in creating and maintaining support documentation

• Ability to handle daily cash receipts and unauthorized deductions.
