Job Summary: The Team Leader position is a key member of a manufacturing operational team in a manner that promotes continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity and on-time delivery to our customer. The Team Leader works to achieve daily results, create a safe work environment, ensures product and material flow, confers with management, quality assurance, engineering, drives new product launches, creates a visible workplace, and is process driven to standard work. The Team Leader is a hands-on driver to inspire a team and creates opportunity to achieve success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead defined area and maintains daily management boards; analyze issues and lead problem solving resulting in effective countermeasures.
Lead on going communication to team members of achievement to area metrics and progress of projects.
Lead team in adherence and improvement to Quality Control Plans and Poka Yokes (mistake proofing)
Train team members in all aspects of their function to fully assemble/manufacture quality product according to standard work.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent experience.
2 years of experience in an operational environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in root cause problem solving (5 Why, 8D, PDCA, etc.)
Demonstrated experience effectively training other employees to work instructions/standard work.
Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP system (Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office.
Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
