Summary

We are seeking an Application Engineer with a focus on pre-sales support and technical support, particularly in the realm of motion control. The ideal candidate will collaborate with sales and marketing teams by serving as the technical expert in sales meetings, technical support calls, and content development for social media platforms. This role demands a strong engineering background, extensive experience in motion control, and the ability to design comprehensive solutions.

Responsibilities Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to assist in winning new business. Provide deep technical expertise, design, and advisory support for multiple industrial technologies. Create demos and proof of concepts, define hardware and software solutions, guide technology selections, and develop proposals. Technical Support: Serve as the technical expert during technical support calls. Conduct onsite visits with sales personnel to ensure product selection and design concepts are met. Guide technical discussions with customers and stakeholders. Content Development: Develop and run small in-person workshops or offsite webinars directly with customers or groups of customers. Create content for social media posts related to our vendors' offerings. Engage in consistent research and familiarization with current and new product offerings. Prerequisites and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering field or Associate's degree with 4 years of relevant experience. Strong experience with motion control and motor sizing for both stepper and servo motors. Proficiency in industrial application programming languages. Experience with industrial hardware controls and sensors.

Critical Competencies Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing). Excellent knowledge of general computer technology, from MS Office Suite to various industrial protocol configurations. Strong programming and engineering skills. Highly detail-oriented, organized, and self-directed. Exceptional problem-solving ability. Strong research skills. Excellent customer service attitude. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly connect with others. Preferred Experience with the following or similar products: Experience with motion control and motor application sizing, particularly with Kollmorgen motion control, Delta line, or other motor manufacturers. Understanding of basic robot control, including standard bots, On Robot, and other end-of-arm tooling. Experience with safety control and guarding solutions, such as SICK, Fortress Interlocks, or similar machine safety solutions. Physical Requirements: The role requires on-site presence in the office for much of the work, adhering to regular hours (8 am to 5 pm). Candidates must be located in Colorado and able to work from the designated office location. Consistent sitting for extended periods. Regular use of a keyboard and mouse. Ability to occasionally lift 50+ pounds. Occasional stair climbing may be required. Position Details: Location: Wheat Ridge, Colorado office. Workdays: Monday to Friday with flexible scheduling within core working hours. Infrequent travel may be required.
