Job Title: Lathe Machinist

Job Description

Join our team as a Manual Machinist to operate the Vertical Turning Lathe at our facility located in Westland, MI. You will be responsible for setting up and operating the machine to handle parts ranging from 30 inches to 108 inches in diameter. The equipment you will use includes a Bullard machine and a Swiss machine. Experience with using an overhead crane for moving large parts is essential for this role.

This is a fully on-site position in Westland, Michigan.

Work Environment

Our facility is a custom shop, handling many 'one-off' jobs, requiring high skill and precision. We do not engage in production work. The facility is compact but well-equipped, including 4 mills and 4 lathes. You will be working alongside 2 other lathe operators.
