JOB REQUIREMENTS: Title:Packing Room Operator, 2nd ShiftReq ID: 4910 City, State:Westfield, WI Reports to:Senior Production Supervisor Department:2nd Shift Floaters Production Westfield Classification:Nonexempt HOURS: 1:28 p.m. -9:59 p.m. (Will vary depending upon line assignment) WAGE: \$22.78 per hour JOB SUMMARY: Machine set up and operation in accordance with specifications and safety regulations. JOB DUTIES: Machine set up and take down which includes threading of machines, making any adjustments needed and bagging up the equipment at the end of the night. Keeping rolls of plastic ready to go to avoid production delays causing line down time. Know where rolls of plastic are kept, and the different programs used for running our various products. Will help assist the line in any way, shape or form: i.e. boxing keels, helping repack boxes, helping stack skids when transporter is gone to freezer and helping pack when packers fall behind. Maintain a clean and safe work environment following STOP principles, SQF and all safety guidelines. Help in other areas when not needed in posted position, punching in on SAP correctly for what job is being performed. Able to tolerate wide variations in environment (temperature, humidity, flour, etc.) Some duties will differ from line to line. Other duties as assigned. WORKING CONDITIONS: High noise exposure, temperature variations from warm to cool to extremely cold and slippery floors are present. Hearing protection required, as well as safety glasses when foaming or sanitizing, slippery floor conditions. QUALIFICATIONS: Well motivated person, work well with little supervision, work and communicate well with fellow employees, good knowledge of Packing Room equipment and is quality conscious of the product we run. Must meet the physical abilities evaluation requirements for this position. Must complete all required training including Power Jack and Lock Out/Tag Out. Must work overtime as needed.
