Operations Planner Company: Rieke LLC Primary Location: 8200 Innovation Campus Way West, New Albany, OH 43054 USA Employment Type: Hourly | Full-Time Function: Purchasing Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled Main Duties & Responsibilities The Operations Planner is responsible for demand/supply planning for the New Albany facility, including regular interface with suppliers and customers; quality of incoming product; leading implementation of effective inventory management practices to ensure 100% inventory accuracy - right product, right location, right quantity, right labeling; identify and implement productivity improvement projects, including with suppliers, to improve the profitability of the operation; participate in the development of new projects to be launched at the New Albany facility, and lead project implementation; be a change agent leader, drive the cultural transformation necessary to achieve world class performance by the organization. Responsible for all order management and quotations. Implement and champion processes to support Rieke's Operational Excellence framework for performance excellence. Ensure team members are trained and adhere to processes and policies on a daily basis. Create item quotation and freight quotation to send to customers. Lead negotiator with suppliers - cost, price increases and lead time. Ensures the ordering of MRO, Expense and OEM items with fiscal responsibility based on quality, volumes or other pricing criteria as required. Responsible for establishing min/max levels and ensuring that product is ordered to adhere to set expectations. Responsible for working with Production Supervisor to drive down inventory and meet days on hand inventory as assigned. Responsible for the maintenance cage inventory and consumption process. Conducts cycle counts to ensure accuracy and validate process. In conjunction with Operations Manager, manages and schedules the flow runner/cardboard removal process. Responsible for identifying obsolete inventory and materials in the racking and makes recommendations to Operations Manager for disposal. Acts as main contact for facility vendors. Responsible for implementation and monitoring of outside vendor delivery process. Responsible to negotiate contracts and maintenance of leased equipment. Data input, updating part numbers and bills of material in the system, uploading all documents, inputs all necessary dates. Create and update customer profiles and contact list. Source for projects, creates mold POs, finalize mold contract and tooling fees with vendors. Ensures that there is daily, weekly and monthly performance reporting against key metrics. Promoting the use of the process approach and risk based thinking. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing and/or business. Lean or Six Sigma qualification preferred. Minimum of 10 years in in supply chain and customer service positions. Negotiations. Project management. Proven people management skills and ability to develop a team. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Ability to speak and communicate in mandarin Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
