Eversource Energy Gas Field Training- Associate Analyst in Westborough, Massachusetts

This position is responsible for generating statistics, conducting analyses and generating reports to support the Field Training Organization activities. The Business Analyst will also assist the Supervisor, Gas Field Training Operation Support by managing training records, operator qualifications, and evaluations, as well as support new hire training e-learnings through utilization of a Learning Management System (e.g., Learning Central). This position also provides logistical support for Field Training Organization activities, as necessary.

Essential Functions:

  • Generate statistics and conduct analysis on Field Training Organization activities.
  • Generate reports regarding training records, operator qualifications, and completed e-learnings.
  • Perform data entry to support Field Training Organization activities and record keeping.
  • Assist in the preparation for compliance audits.
  • Supports the planning and scheduling of field work for the Field Training Organization, as necessary.
  • Analyzes processes and data and converts this into value added thinking and information.
  • Identifies opportunities for process change or continuous improvement and facilitates the acceptance and implementation of the change.
  • Understands information technology solutions and how they apply to business needs.
  • Performs or assists in ad-hoc querying and reporting as requested by Eversource management or personnel.
  • Works with various departments throughout the Company analyzing data and processes.
  • Develops reports, prepares and delivers presentations, writes procedures and performs other activities as needed.
  • Performs and implements special assignments as necessary.
  • Responsible for storm restoration and emergency assignments

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skills:

  • Preferred knowledge of the gas distribution network, including procedures, standards, safety, and regulatory codes.
  • Requires knowledge of utilization of a Learning Management System (e.g., Learning Central).
  • Familiarity with document management systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in training and development concepts, theories, practices and principles.
  • Strong administrative, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, statistical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiar with budgeting and accounting concepts.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, charts and building functions, required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Access, Word and Power Point, preferred.
  • Experience with electrical utilities and electrical distribution systems, preferred.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Training, Education, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Zero to three year’s experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in records management.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Valid driver’s license required.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $72,900 to $81,000, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to travel between MA and CT.
  • Work is performed primarily in the office and in the classroom but may require driving and traveling to field sites in varied conditions and terrain, including adverse weather conditions.
  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.

This position is categorized as safety-sensitive for the purpose of drug testing. Successful applicants shall be subject to a pre-assignment drug test if the individual is currently in a non-safety sensitive position. As an employee in this position the individual shall be subject to random drug testing. A positive drug test will result in disciplinary action.
