Robert Half Property Accountant in West Palm Beach, Florida

Description

Our reputable client that is new to this area is building a team in West Palm Beach for a commercial property management investment firm. They are seeking Property Accountant/Accounting Manager to join the company. They are looking for experience in accounting and property management, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and property-specific systems. This is the role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced work environment that requires the ability to balance multiple responsibilities.

How you will make an impact

  • Put together intricate journal entries and account reconciliations

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year end financial statements/reporting packages

  • Maintain fixed-asset ledger, depreciation and reconciliation

  • Maintain payment schedules, including capital lease

  • Analyze financial data and summarize in a clear, useful manner

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting

  • Assist in the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls

-Super organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset are a must

  • General proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or a related field is required

  • Multi-Entity or Multi-Location Accounting preferred

  • Experience with industry specific accounting software

  • Previous experience in accounting, real estate accounting, or property accounting preferred

Requirements

• Bachelors in Accounting or related field

Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Broad knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Understanding of Budget Processes

• Ability to handle Cash Activity

• Prior experience in Property Accounting
