Personal Banker Specialist

Personal Banker Specialists are responsible for assisting customers with day to day bank transactions and opening accounts and processing loan applications and closing loans.

Job duties

  • Provides customers with information for retail and business accounts from opening to closing in a thorough, accurate and timely manner
  • Processes loan applications and closes loans
  • Process routine financial business for customers accurately and in a timely manner
  • Provide quality customer service; promptly address customer concerns
  • Listen to customers and recommend solutions that best fit their needs; cross-sell and make referrals when appropriate
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers
  • Maintain current knowledge of bank products, services, policies, and procedures
  • Prepares and maintains various reports and records

Skills and Abilities

  • Thorough understanding of the features and benefits of all bank consumer and business products and services
  • Thorough understanding of bank operating policies and procedures which impact consumer services
  • Experience providing excellent customer service
  • Proficient communication -- in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve and strong attention to detail
  • Proficient math and computer skills
  • Minimum of three years of banking experience (preferred)
