Job Description

Propulsion Plant Team Trainer (PPTT) Hardware Engineering (PHE) is a multi-site unit responsible for the design, development, and delivery of the S9G Simulation Suite to support the Next Generation Training Program (NGTP).  Our focus is centered on Integration to ensure that all aspects of the PPTT come together in a first-of-a-kind product that transforms Navy training for decades to come. An exciting opportunity is now available for a Senior Facilities Engineer to support these structural Integration efforts throughout design and build. This is an outstanding time to join the team as PPTT Integration Design gets kicked off!  This posting is open to engineers willing to work at either the Bettis Site (PA) or the Kesselring Site (NY). The successful candidate for this position will: Provide oversight of subcontracted licensed structural engineering efforts Ensure PPTT Integration Supplier designs are compliant with structural technical requirements and relevant codes and standards Review PPTT construction planning submittals including construction plans, shipping plans, and construction specifications Perform or review structural analyses Support complex lifting and handling design and planning reviews Interface with stakeholders to ensure project objective are met

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 6 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience; or Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part I qualified; or EDO qualified and 2 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or 3 years SRE qualified and Water Instructor and Refueling Facility Area Refueling Engineer and Fuel and Barrier Shift Supervisor (ECF only); or SRE qualified and 6 years of experience.

Preferred Skills

Prior experience with ASCE codes and application to structural and seismic design Prior experience with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and International Building Code (IBC) requirements Prior experience supporting large-scale design and build construction projects Prior experience performing complex structural analyses Prior experience with the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program Current or prior Professional Engineering licensure

Pay Range $92,900.00 - $145,200.00 annually Salary information provided is a general guide line only.
