Miller Edge, Inc. Production Assembler I in West Grove, Pennsylvania

Miller Edge, Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual for the position of Production Assembler I. As a Production Assembler, you will play a crucial role in safely and accurately producing products that meet customer specifications, following our Standard Work Instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the quality of the products built by strictly adhering to Standard Work Instructions.
  • Prepare, inspect, and measure raw materials to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Identify and report any quality-related problems or product non-conformities to the supervisor or manager.
  • Complete all assigned work within specified job cycle times.
  • Utilize touch screen computer equipment to facilitate the smooth flow of products through the production process.
  • Maintain compliance with Miller Edge Health & Safety Regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Foster and uphold a clean and organized work environment throughout the plant.
  • Cross-train on different production lines and provide assistance as necessary.
  • Document any issues related to trucks, bills, or damages.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient in reading and understanding Sales Orders, using a measuring tape, operating a weight scale, and comprehending instructions in English.
  • Detail-oriented with consistent work performance.
  • Basic mathematical, reading, and writing skills.
  • Ability to operate production machines and specialty tools.
  • Competence in operating computers, printers, keyboards, and label machines.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Extended periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying loads up to 25 pounds.
  • Strong manual dexterity for using tools and working with small components that require precise finger manipulation (e.g., pliers, crimpers, wire strippers, scissors).
  • Constant use of visual acuity for operating equipment, reading, and interpreting technical information.
  • Exposure to cold, hot, and humid conditions on occasion.
  • Frequent exposure to noise from manufacturing machines and large moving equipment.
  • Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and listen attentively.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is helpful but not required.
  • Must have reliable transportation and demonstrate responsibility, dependability, and punctuality in attendance.    Preferred Skills:

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Forklift operation in compliance with OSHA requirements.
