GE Aerospace Concession & Rebate Operations Accounting Analyst in West Chester, Ohio

Job Description Summary

This role plays a pivotal role in managing rebate and accounting processes related to Warranty, Concessions and Discounts, supporting the CMS Controllership organization. Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. The person will lead projects working towards the improvement and automation of the business and finance processes. This role is fulltime in our West Chester, Ohio Office.

Roles and Responsibilities

Use process improvement methodologies to address complicated and/or interdependent processes, develop execution plans and communicate benefits/risk, and take an active role in execution.

Engage with, and advocate for, the warranty claim system finance user base.

Collaborate with digital team and other functional stakeholder organizations to develop solutions to support the rebate user community.

Actively participate in system design & testing sessions to ensure solutions to meet short-term objectives and long-term goals.

Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure the new processes/solutions are compliant with GE and regulations.

Execute to standard operating procedures and desktop procedures of assigned area. Update standard operating procedures and desktop procedures regularly as needed.

Lead annual concession reserve study.

Own various scorecard reporting and contribute to improve/develop the reporting capabilities.

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5 years' experience in an Accounting or Finance role

ERP development experience with SAP and/or Oracle based applications or equivalent experience

Demonstrated experience analyzing operational and financial data and optimizing business processes
