GENERAL SUMMARY:

• Under general supervision, coordinates the activities of the Food Service Aides and provides leadership during daily operations.

• Distributes work and handles general staffing problems as they arise.

• Provides training for new employees and may assume the responsibilities of supervisor and/or line operations during their absence.

• Ensures that food service personnel carry out all assignments and duties.

• Performs all duties of a Food Service Aide as required.

  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to read, write, and perform simple math calculations, understand and follow instructions is necessary.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D., preferred.

• Minimum of one or more years as a Food Service Aide.

  PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical ability to stand for long periods of time and to move throughout assigned food preparation, production and serving areas. May be required to lift items 40 pounds or greater.

WORKING CONDITIONS : Normal stressors associated with the healthcare environment.
