Purpose of Position:
Position requires the performance of a wide variety of miscellaneous mechanical and building trade tasks in the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment and in simple construction and fabrication tasks. Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical and Refrigeration. Work is often performed without close supervision, but is subject to inspection upon completion. Provides general maintenance to all Sonbyrne Sales, Inc. facilities.
Job Responsibilities & Basic Qualifications:
The list below contains tasks that are typically associated with the job. It is not all-inclusive and may vary.
Performing routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
Ensuring general maintenance of all facilities and equipment on property including grounds.
Performs basic electrical installation and repair work.
Perform semi-skilled maintenance tasks in the construction, maintenance and repair of Byrne Dairy retail stores.
Replaces window glass, screens, locks, door latches, light bulbs, ballast.
Performs carpentry skills which includes replacing siding & trims both inside and outside the stores.
Paints inside and the outside of any Sonbyrne Sales, Inc. facility.
Must be able to drive to any Sonbyrne Sales, Inc. facilities with little or no notice given
Byrne Dairy operates 24 hour facilities which occasionally requires the maintenance worker to attend to problems at Byrne Dairy facilities at night or on the weekends.
Performs related work as required.
Job Requirements & Desired Skills:
High School Diploma
1 – 3 years experience in a maintenance related field
Meet minimum requirements on pre-employment testing, drug test and have a valid drivers license.
Considerable knowledge of the methods, practices, tools, materials, and equipment used in a variety of building and mechanical trades. HVAC & Carpentry knowledge preferred.
Some knowledge of the occupational hazards in the use of power tools and equipment, and of necessary safety precautions.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to diagnose malfunctions and defects in mechanical and similar equipment and to determine adequate corrective measures.
Safe work practices
Safe driving practices
Estimated Annual Salary: $50,000-$56,000
