Bosch Thermotechnology Corporation seeks Software Engineering Manager (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 65 Grove Street, Watertown, Massachusetts 02472. Responsible for keeping the software engineering team engaged, happy, and productive. Maintain and enrich our collaborative and inclusive work culture ensuring strong and effective communication across the team. Collaborate closely with the software engineering team and business stakeholders within the company to determine priorities, scope projects, refine requirements, manage resource allocation, and guide projects to successful completion. Serve as technical advisor to the team - monitor technical debt, drive infrastructure and tooling investments as necessary and cultivate excellence through technical mentorship. Share a passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with, and learning new technologies. Keep the team and stakeholders aligned by frequently and proactively communicating status, risks, and tradeoffs. Provide regular feedback and coaching to nurture career growth. Drive hiring of great candidates as the team grows. Improve processes and help define the structure and organization of the engineering department. Ensure that the software engineering team is efficiently delivering quality releases that are aligned with business goals. REQS: This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field plus 5 years of experience as an Engineering Manager, Program Manager, or other related occupation involving Software Engineering. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Managing software applications and infrastructure in the cloud using Cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS); (2) Managing software development workflows and automating software delivery processes using DevOps principles and tools such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), infrastructure as code (IaC), and automation; (3) Managing software projects using an iterative and collaborative approach in Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban; (4) Technical project management, including managing complex software development projects, setting project timelines, managing budgets, and ensuring project delivery; and (5) Managing and developing software engineering teams, including recruiting, training, mentoring, and performance management. Telecommuting: Hybrid. 2 – 3 days remote; 2 – 3 days in office.
