Airport Road Childhood Learning Center Kitchen in Waterford, Michigan
Preparing nutritious, fresh, and wholesome meals for the enrolled children using Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines.
- Work with staff to collect meal numbers before food preparation.
- Prepare morning and afternoon snack for all classrooms.
- Prepare appropriate amounts of food using CACFP guidelines.
- Set up and tear down tables and chairs in lunch area daily.
- All tables are to be set for lunch.
- Serve Lunch to each classroom and lunch area on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including all food storage areas.
- Ensure all food items are checked for expiration dates.
- Wash and sanitize all dishes, counters, and carts.
- Clean the entire kitchen and lunch area (gym) after lunch.
- Sweep and mop Kitchen & lunch area daily.
- Remove trash daily.
- Help administration with menu planning.
- Prepare shopping list.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED
- Background verification check
- TB Test
- Moderate reading and writing skills; ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedure.
- Be able to lift 40 lbs.
- Be able to use computer for online training.
