Government Accountability Office Management and Program Analyst (Labor Management Relations) in Washington, District Of Columbia
Summary This position is located in the Government Accountability Office (GAO), Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Labor-Management Relations (LMR) group. The CAO's office plays a central role in the day-to-day operations of GAO; implementing a number of agency- wide programs and overseeing the operations of all CAO units which include financial, information technology, human capital, infrastructure operations functions and labor relations. Responsibilities As a Management and Program Analyst (Labor Management Relations), PT-0343-2, your typical work assignments may include the following: Performs comprehensive analyses (quantitative and qualitative) of information regarding Labor Management Relations. Serves as a member of the agency bargaining teams during negotiations, gathering data and preparing responses for the LMR team. Participates on Agency projects representing the LMR team. Develops new or modified approaches to resolve complex issues to increase efficiency and effectiveness and/or to improve customer service. Collaborates with other staff to develop solutions to problems and deliver quality services; to ensure alignment with LMR goals and improve internal operations. Maintains oversight of communications in the LR mailbox and responds to requests for meeting notifications and works with the LMR staff on various inquiries received, preparing data for agency responses to requests for information. Designs and conducts comprehensive and broad studies/reviews or manages major projects. Assist the LMR team in preparing written internal communications and developing and delivering other types of materials/activities as needed to various GAO offices. Qualifications You must have one year (52 Weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the NEXT LOWER BAND, AC-III, CS-1, PE-I, PT I or GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or comparable private/public sector experience which has equipped you with the skills and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: Performing comprehensive analysis using relevant information and judgment to comply with laws and regulations focused on employee-employer relationships; assess risk to business operations; and present business-related information to audiences. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
