Medtronic Optimization & Strategy Senior Manager for Indirect Markets – EMEA Region Led Markets in Warsaw, Poland

Optimization & Strategy is one of three Enablers in the Indirect Channel Excellence (ICE) with the primary objective to drive accelerated, incremental growth in the five (5) sub-regions. ICE has three pillars, each with a specific area of coverage to manage the indirect market (IM): Indirect Channel Leads (ICL) – Mange the day to day activities with channel partners; Contract team – Manage all documentations with Channel partners; Optimization & Strategy (OS) – Optimize and strategies our commercial presence in the IM.

Optimization & Strategy (OS) is a functional role with a mandate to provide comprehensive strategic and support thought the ICE team. OS works closely with the ICE Director, the other pillars in ICE on strategic planning, go to market plans, value proposition development, and integration with other EMEA RLM (Europe, Middle East and Africa, Region Led Markets) Enablers. OS also leads special projects for the ICE Director and supports “rapid response” needs from the ICE LT and regions.

A Day in the Life

• Own the ICE strategies agenda and growth objectives: Define the channel strategies for CEMA (Central- Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa) region, sub-regiones and key countries, with consideration for different market types, channel partner categories, Go-direct plans, as well as current and potential go-to market models.

• Drive optimization of key channel partners in a comprehensive manner, including factors such as performance across all represented OUs, market share growth, inventory levels.

• Be the primary contact point in the team for cross-functional projects and information exchange with SME and SAA (Strategic Account Accelerators) enablers.

• Supervise the segmentation of markets and channel partners, as well as performance monitoring and evaluation plan (meeting calendar), in partnership with ICE department.

• Design recommendation concerning development/consolidation/non-renewal/conversion (Go-Direct) of existing channel partners, as well as searching and onboarding new distributors.

• Support the region and IC (Indirect Channel) lead teams whenever is required.

• Liaise w/ Strategic Marketing Enterprise (SME) team to understand OU strategies / plans and implications for ICE.

• Liaise w/ other enablers to “connect the dots” and drive EMEA RLM-wide strategies for IM (Indirect Markets).

Must Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business

• Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in strategy, commercial, performance management, analytics, finance, consulting, business development or technical role

• General understanding of the healthcare industry

• General understanding of performance and KPIs – financial as well as operational

• Senior presence and ability to communicate effectively with external & internally stakeholders

Nice to Haves

• Master’s degree (MS, MBA)

• Previous experience in healthcare focused management or strategy consulting

• Previous experience in the medical device industry

• Strong understand of the healthcare industry, especially in emerging markets.

• Well versed in financial modeling, commercial assessments, and communications.
