Main responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the US GAAP reporting and statutory compliance matters of all Assigned region’s entities

  • Ensure that the monthly US GAAP reporting to corporate is on-time and free from material misstatements.

  • Establish a strong partnership with the Fin ops COE Belgium & WSSC Poland, European Consolidation team, BP&A teams.

  • Drive standardisation and best practices across the assigned region’s entities

  • Strive towards a simplified month end process across all entities which provides the adequate level of detail for the Country Controller/Senior Finance Manager to sign off on the assigned region’s monthly financial results.

  • Work with EY and other external advisers to ensure that all statutory accounts are completed on time. Ensure that all tax returns are submitted to the tax authorities on time. Partner with all external advisers to build ongoing relationships. Work closely with Entity Finance COE Leader and other Finance Managers in the entity COE and with Country Controller/Senior Finance Manager.

  • Lead all external relationships (auditors, tax, legal) with support from Senior Finance Manager/Country Controller

  • Responsible for all compliance related matters related to the Assigned region’s legal entities. Drive continuous improvement in this area though monitoring of activities, assessing compliance risks and implementation of improvements.

  • Planning for and managing the detailed day-to-day reporting and compliance for the assigned region, working closely with the financial accountants.

  • Work on closure of legal entities (LEI) and follow the process end to end (US GAAP closure to local GAAP Statutory account closure)

  • Review all balance sheet reconciliations and ensure that they are in a good shape for the US GAAP reporting sign off.

  • Work together with the assigned region’s Entity COE finance team on external and internal audit readiness. Pro-actively engage with external and internal audit teams to understand the scope and assess readiness. Once the audits are complete drive towards closure of audit issues raised.

  • Take the lead on various projects within the Entity Finance COE and working with other members of the COE to deliver on objectives.

  • Have a mindset of COE and work collaboratively with other finance managers (GSA, BNL, Nordics, UK, CEE, BD International) and share best practices and drive standardisation and implementation.

  • To provide full support to the Country Controller/Senior Finance Manager to enable Country Controller/Senior Finance Manager to sign off on USGAAP and local GAAP statutory and all compliance related matters. Full support for dealing with all key external partners (E&Y, tax advisors etc).

About you

  • Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting is required. Chartered Accountant / CIMA professional degree is a plus

  • Must have experience in general accounting. 4-6 years of experience with minimum of 1 year+ in managerial responsibilities

  • Relevant work experience in controlling, forecasting, planning, and financial management reporting in a multinational company

  • Leadership/people management skills

  • Proficient in English

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, ability to work independently
