We're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to develop autonomous platforms while leading the manufacture and test of existing designs. This permanent full-time position provides the selected candidate with an opportunity to interact with a passionate team of engineering & science professionals working on advanced robotics, and developing off-road autonomy.
What You’ll Do
Architect, design, and develop next-generation robotic vehicles while supporting the manufacture and testing of existing designs
Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to conceptualize, specify and implement electrical architectures for new product developments including multi-stage integrated robotics systems, automation products, and commercial products
Generate design documentation such as schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly and cable drawings
Responsible for the system-level design of electrical systems for autonomous vehicles related to sensor integration, drive-by-wire, etc
Specify and select electrical components such as microcontrollers, servo drives, sensors, and safety systems for robotics and automation uses
Capture electronics schematics and generate PCB designs for manufacturing
Perform board bring-up activities including embedded firmware development and circuit validation
Support other electrical, mechanical, and software engineers with prototype development. Provide expertise on electrical circuit design and safety during prototype design and fabrication.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 8-10 years of related experience, or a master's degree with a minimum of 6-8 years of related experience in a technical environment.
4+ years of electrical design experience in the robotics field with tightly coupled electrical, mechanical, and software components is preferred
Expert experience with cable assembly design, strong knowledge of MIL standards
Highly competent in CAD tools including Altium, SolidWorks, or similar tools
Solid experience in one or more of the following: robotics, automation, embedded controls, high-speed differential signaling, microcontrollers, memory buses, and power electronics
Experienced with ESD-safe practices and procedures
Highly skilled with testing and system integration
Expert technical knowledge and experience in schematic capture and PCB layout in analogue and digital circuit analysis and design
Reverse engineering skills

Anticipated Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000
