EDUCATION
• High School/GED or equivalent (Required)
• Associates degree in a science, mathematics or technology program (preferably) assigned discipline. Without a degree, three years maintenance experience in assigned discipline. Navy nuclear power plant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree req (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE
• 5 Years + experience in Electrical Maintenance or Electrical Technical with 2+ years supervisory experience. (Required)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
MAINTENANCE SHOP SUPERVISION:
Directs and coordinates the technical performance of assigned discipline supervision and craft personnel as directed by the Electrical Maintenance Division Manager
• Directs the efforts of maintenance personnel to complete maintenance work activities as scheduled in order to support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the units.
• Assists assigned discipline personnel in analyzing technical issues and correcting problems to Set priorities, schedule, review and monitor discipline activities.
• Mitigates schedule impacts.
• Directs the preplanning of major rework or repair activities and maintenance efforts on high priority emergent rework or repair activities.
• Interfaces on a regular basis with operations, engineering, health physics, work control and projects management and personnel. Represents the Maintenance organization on internal work teams and external groups.
• Provides direct input into the schedule for the Electrical Maintenance organization.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
Performs people management.
• Prepares and delivers oral and written communications relating to work group and station activities (e.g., reports, presentations, department meetings).
• Monitors work group reports and recommendations to assure evaluations, assessments and support are effectively developed and communicated.
• Develops and maintains appropriate technical expertise within the work group to ensure adequate talent to perform meaningful assessments and program oversight.
• Represents department/company on internal work teams and committees and with external entities.
• Maintains composure in high stress or adverse situations.
• Understands and implements company policies.
TRAINING DUTIES - SUPERVISOR:
Develops, monitors, evaluates and conducts formal classroom and on the job training to ensure employee skills and abilities support plant needs.
• Enforces qualification standards in accordance with technical specifications, plant procedures, policies and NRC & INPO guidelines.
• Observes and evaluates training, reinforces training expectations, provides feedback, and addresses performance shortfalls as needed.
• Participates in training committees, as appropriate, in the development and implementation of the Initial and Continuing training course curriculum. Approves learning objectives and reviews tests and related materials.
• Monitors industry issues and standards for changes which may impact accredited programs.
• Teaches courses and facilitates critiques when needed.
FISCAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Maintains fiscal records and procedures of the department to ensure the effective and efficient operations.
• Understands and manages to financial and budget targets. Incorporates financial analysis into strategic decisions.
Proactively monitors and interprets ongoing financial performance and responds strategically.
• Incorporates financial analysis into strategic decisions and takes accountability for financial decisions within area.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accept ERO position as needed.
• Accept outage position.
• Provide leadership and direction to responsible organization.
• Perform personnel activities for direct reports (promotions, salary changes, counseling, performance appraisals, development plans).
• Monitor organizational activities, evaluate impact of internal and external factors (e.g., technology, regulations, business environment) and implements response plans.
• Budget for ongoing and future expenses and monitor budget performance.
• Provide employees with tools and training necessary for them to perform their assignments. Resolves problems and interpersonal conflicts in the section.
• Performs duties as assigned by the Maintenance Division Manager.

• Firm understanding of STP Goals and long-term plans.
• Ability to interface with management, Bargaining Unit personnel and Union representatives. Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement Collective Bargaining Agreements.
• Ability to use a personal computer to access information and run reports.
• Ability to develop outage plans and schedules and the ability to develop ‘Plans of Actions’ for station equipment issues.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.
• Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.
• Travel may be required.
• Work is performed in close proximity to plant equipment.
• Work is performed without close managerial direction.
• Office, plant and outside environment in varied weather conditions. Will be required to kneel, climb, stoop and bend to safely negotiate around operating plant equipment or in a confined space during field walk downs and management work activities.
• May be required to carry pager/phone.
