Lean/Quality Co-op - Fall 2024 Location: WADSWORTH, OH, United States Job Family : Professional - Entry Job Type : Regular Posted : Jun 10, 2024 Job ID: 49772 Back to Search Results Job Description Apply Now > Save Job Job Saved Responsible for assisting in the data collection, analysis and implementation of lean transformations initiatives at the Plant level by utilizing the company's WIN Strategy, Parker Lean System tools and philosophy to eliminate waste in all office, factory and support functions. Learn the various aspects of the quality function at Parker Hannifin. This includes participation in inspections, audits, creating and maintaining process and quality documentation, failure analysis, corrective action and lean continuous improvement initiatives to improve cost, quality and performance. Position reports to the Division Lean Manager. Also have reporting accountability to the Plant Quality Manager. * Following the Site Transformation plans & under the direction of the Division Lean Manager, executes & completes transformation's plan tasks. * Assists in data collection, analysis & implementation of transformation improvements individually or as part of project and/or Kaizen teams. * Technologies & methodologies used & to be learned include Value Stream Mapping, Cellular Manufacturing, Kanban Pull Systems, Quick Changeover, design for lean, one-piece flow, inventory reduction, site tracking centers etc. * Makes implementation & results a top priority &regularly updates the Plant's Lean implementation plan. * Assist with Authorization to Return (ATR) management. * Learn to evaluate product warranty returns & prepare Analysis Reports for Customer Service to share with Customers. * Help lead Problem Solving activities when they arise with Customer 8Ds and/or Supplier NCMRs. * Assist with Non-conforming Materials Report (NCMR) administration with Suppliers to reduce Wadsworth NCMR turn times. * Work with suppliers on RMAs to return or debit nonconforming product. * Follow-up with suppliers on open actions owed to Parker. * Help provide support to the Quality Star Point Team. * Help setup Inspection Plans in OMNEX for incoming inspection of AA & 24 parts/material. * College Sophomore or higher working towards a degree in engineering, business or a related field. * Ability to perform complex analysis. * Effective oral & written communication skills including public & small group settings. * Advance Microsoft Excel user (Queries, Pivot tables, formulations, etc). * Ability to work in a manufacturing environment collecting data, performing time studies & training. * Excellent communication skills to lead & support empowered employees in a team environment. * Good presentation skills to effectively share the success & ideas of the Division. * Previous experience in quality or inspection preferred APQP. * Training & ASQC Certification preferred. * Must be able to accurately read gauges, prints, part identification, specifications & procedures. * Lift & transport baskets of parts weighing no more than 25 lbs. * Must be able to bend over, lift and move parts for the entire shift.
