Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Vista, California
Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Vista, California. This role involves managing a high volume of accounts payable tasks in a dynamic telecom industry environment. The position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
• Utilize accounting software systems to process and maintain accounts payable records
• Handle check processing and data entry tasks for over 100 accounts payable transactions
• Utilize Great Plains (GPAC) for processing and maintaining purchase order modules
• Apply Microsoft Excel skills to create PivotTables, vLookups, and other data analysis tools
• Ensure all accounting functions are performed accurately and within the set deadlines
• Manage and resolve any discrepancies in the accounts payable process
• Prepare and maintain accounts payable accruals up to a dollar amount of $100,000
• Conduct bank reconciliations for three different bank accounts regularly
• Process termination checks as and when required
• Collaborate with senior team members and assist them as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems.
• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with various Accounting Functions.
• Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures.
• Experience in Check Processing.
• Proficient in Data Entry.
• Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies in accounting records.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and standards.
