American Tower Sales Account Manager - West Coast in United States

The Team

We are seeking a Sales Account Manager to join American Tower’s Sales team. The Sales Account Manager focuses on driving and securing all wireless asset leasing deals. Day to day you will focus on new business sales on all offered products within an assigned geographic territory. You will also drive new business opportunities, such as tower builds, shared generator solutions, managed sites, and other shared services. As a Sales Account Manager, you will drive success with external customers by continuously gathering and refreshing industry, market and customer intelligence.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • A minimum of 5 years of sales or business development experience required.

  • A minimum of 3 years of wireless, telecommunications or real estate industry experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience using forecasting tools such as Salesforce preferred.

  • Approximately 50% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.

  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.

What You Can Offer Us

  • Effectively market and lease communications infrastructure, secure build-to-suit opportunities and sell American Tower’s acquisition, Zoning and Permitting services to assigned customers.

  • Develop clear, impactful sales account plans for each assigned customer.

  • Broaden/deepen key relationships within customer accounts to increase account knowledge and influence.

  • Understand customer’s business, network build plans and budget/approval process to provide impactful customer intelligence to national account leaders.

  • Identify new business opportunities with named wireless carriers, tower owners, consultants and other new prospects through research, calls, meetings and presentations.

  • Maintain good working knowledge of all product and service offerings in the American Tower Portfolio.

  • Provide accurate and timely pipeline and lease-up forecasting in Salesforce.

  • Approximately 10% of time role will be performed outside conventional office environment.

  • Other duties as assigned.
