Purpose and Scope:

As a Platform Engineer of a team of individuals in a specific area of digital expertise, you will be a crucial player in driving our digital initiatives forward in our agile organization. Our agile operating model consists of two components – Digital Capability and Digital Execution. Digital Execution is about aligning multiple missions around business goals and facilitating collaboration on a larger scale.

Digital Capability, on the other hand, will focus on the growth and development of individuals within a specific area of expertise. This dual structure enables us to scale agile practices efficiently while maintaining a focus on both product development and individual skill enhancement.

An Enterprise Business Platforms Engineer focuses on the development, deployment, and integration of software platforms that support our business processes and operations. This role involves a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and a deep understanding of the specific platforms that drive business functions such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management, Sales Force, Veeva), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning such as SAP), and SCM (Supply Chain Management) and Clinical, Patient Safety, Quality Management Solutions. The goal is to ensure these platforms are optimized to support business goals, enhance efficiency, and drive growth.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Platform Development and Configuration: Design, develop, and configure business platforms to meet the specific needs of our organization. This could involve programming, configuring settings, and integrating various software solutions.

  • System Integration: Ensure seamless integration between different business platforms and systems (e.g., integrating CRM and ERP systems) to enhance data flow and business processes.

  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Regularly monitor the performance of business platforms, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and user experience.

  • User Support and Training: Provide technical support to platform users, resolve issues, and conduct training sessions to ensure users can effectively utilize the platforms.

  • Initiative Execution: Actively participate in and contribute to various initiatives, applying your specialized skills to achieve the objectives and expected Value. Contribute to the ongoing realization of Value from these enterprise platforms through continuous integration and deployment.

  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members within the subdivision and across other digital and business units.

  • Continuous Learning: Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in a specific area of expertise.

  • Innovation: Contribute innovative ideas and approaches to enhance project outcomes and digital capabilities.

  • Reporting: Regularly report on the progress of the various Value Teams and outcomes to your Capability Lead and team members.

  • Problem-Solving: Employ analytical and problem-solving skills to overcome project challenges and deliver effective solutions.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality and consistency in the work delivered.

  • SAC Developer is responsible for the gathering of SAP requirements and specifications, analyzing, designing, documenting, coding, testing, configuring, deploying, implementing, and maintaining systems and applications

  • Participate and collaborate with the users, business analyst, quality assurance/quality control analyst in the gathering of user requirements and specifications

  • Participate and conduct feasibility study, research, and development, prototyping and proof of concept (PoC) in implementing new/existing systems, solutions, and processes

  • Participate in the technical and project documentation such as but not limited to functional, system and technical design, requirements, and specifications for SAP BW/HANA & SAC topics.

  • Create test scenarios and data and conduct or participate in non-functional and functional testing (e.g., unit testing, system testing, integration testing, etc.)

  • Defines Data Visualization solution approach, develops systems requirements, designs, and prototypes proof of concept approach, testing and training. Defines support procedures. Provides process expertise and solutions in SAP Business Intelligence Reporting and Visualization and non-SAP tools

  • Develop and review codes, programs, and configurations to verify consistency and conformance with established programming and industry standards, guidelines, policies, and practices

  • Conduct incident and problem analysis, data gathering, investigation and resolution of issues, and provide technical consultancy, assistance, and support

  • Deliver the required systems/applications/solutions on time and based on agreed budget and specifications

  • Identify, assess, and recommend opportunities for application and process improvement

  • Provide regular and effective progress updates to the project manager/team lead/supervisor/immediate manage

  • Develop, customize, enhance, fix and maintain codes, applications and systems and Specify security requirements and approaches to data for adherence

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science, engineering or information systems, or STEM Degree

  • Demonstrated ability to Analyze technical and business requirements and translate these into basic and detailed technical design

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, Strategic thinking and thought leadership capabilities; ability to institutionalize new tools, processes, and technologies

  • Knowledge of implementation project life cycles including blueprinting, configuration, testing, cut-over and go-live support

  • At least 2 SAP end-to-end implementation experience and at least one S/4HANA Implementation / upgrade experience

  • Ability to adapt to fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks at a time and self-motivated to learn advanced technologies

  • Demonstrate BW and BPC experience, including experience in various Data and Analytics solutions based on AWS and Azure

  • Provides subject matter expert solutions and hands on management of configuration using SAP Business Objects, SAP Cloud Analytics, Analysis for Office.

  • 5+ years Hands-on experience on SAC (including Planning), designing/implementing data models.

  • Proven experience and thorough understanding of SAP data structures, forecasting and analytical applications.

  • Excellent CSS Scripting abilities. Ability to exhibit and follow standard coding and naming conventions and a top- down approach.

  • Strong hands-on experience on SAC connectivity, integration with SAP cloud connector, Authorization concept (Users, roles, team) and governance

  • Knowledge on SAC predictive capabilities, Augmented analytics

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience developing and delivering Business Intelligence reporting and data analysis solutions such as SAP Hana Enterprise, SAC and SAP BusinessObjects Suite (Design Studio, Webi, Etc.) and Data Visualizations tools

  • Strong SAP Business Intelligence understanding, S/4HANA or SAP Hana Enterprise experience preferred

  • Proven experience defining enterprise-wide reporting standards and frameworks, Dashboard Design and BI Content Management Governance

  • Demonstrated experience in the development of Business Intelligence Reporting and Visualization solutions for business programs/projects Required Skills Broad technology knowledge of major applications, middleware and platforms Broad understanding of business processes and solutions using SAP Business Objects, SAP Cloud Analytics

  • High level knowledge of various replication methods to HANA or BW/BI

  • Architectural knowledge of deployment modes of various SAP Analytics solutions (Cloud, On-Premises, Hybrid)

  • Knowledge in SuccessFactors PA Stories and Planning, data modelling in general
