About This Role

The Phenom Program Training Manager in CAE's brand new, state-of-the-art facility will ensure high standards around the delivery of instructional activities and is responsible for correct execution of all contracted training. The person is in charge of all compliances with regulations appropriate to center approvals and/or agreed arrangements with the customer. The position leads the instructor team and creates standardization between instructors and maintains a professional decorum.

In this role, the Training Manager will be responsible for;

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the correct delivery of all training activities under his/her jurisdiction according to pertinent regulations and CAE standards. Ensures balanced scheduling, maximum throughput & revenue capture. Make proposals for improvement and report findings to the Head of Training.

  • Supervises progress of clients in training and provides recommendation for any necessary remedial training action for a pilot not meeting the standard training progress and performance levels.

  • Ensure the Instructors remain current and become fully qualified as efficiently as possible.

  • Interfaces with the Customers, the Clients, Sales, Customer Services, and Scheduling to ensure customer satisfaction (conflicts, policies, procedures, scheduling problems, etc.).

  • Conducts flight/sim instruction or examination, as necessary.

  • Acts as a SME in creation of curricula and courseware when required.

  • Conduct all Human Resources functions for the Instructor Pilots he/she will supervise.

The ideal candidate should also possess: 

  • A “true” professional character with the ability to create a welcoming and successful working environment for the Instructors and Clients.

  • The proven ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels, both spoken and written.

  • Commitment to the customer - providing continuous “red carpet” customer service.

  • The capability to tailor training sessions to the needs of a diverse customer base.

  • A keen eye for detail – must be able and willing to maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with CAE policy and National Aviation Authorities’ requirements.

    Education / Skills / Background:

  • Associate degree or college degree preferred; High School diploma or state issued equivalent required.

  • 2-5 years of related job-relevant experience

  • Previous experience in aviation training preferred.

  • Proven experience demonstrating a customer service orientation of work assignments.

  • Must be authorized to live/work in the United States

  • Computer proficiency, Microsoft Office, and other internet-based programs.

  • Must be able to participate in CAE’s DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol testing program
