Product Operations Engineer

When Dell Technologies launches new game-changing products into the global market, Product Operations Engineering has a vital role to play. The team coordinates all the operational activities that enable products to be introduced and sustained successfully. It’s about making sure there is consistency between production and test environments. It’s about ensuring hardware, software and networking changes are migrated into the production environment in a stable and controlled way. And it’s about creating build processes, coordinating product builds for release into production and setting up configuration specifications for releases.

What you’ll achieve

Ensures Operations achieves Ready to Ship Release and transactions into production/sustaining. Utilizes metrics to improve new production, introduction process and product quality, at launch and throughout life of the program.

As a Product Operation Engineer, you will be responsible for Drives quality improvements by risk assessment/mitigation the sources of defects and manage transition. You will work with product group Core Team, worldwide regional factory and multiple extend team across product life cycle.

You will:

  • Participant in core team and informs team members of actions/plans 

  • Participant in extended team and informs team members of actions/plans

  • Develops containment plans for simple excursion management

  • Drives continuous improvement in product manufacturability and flexibility, and operations cycle time and quality

Essential Requirements

  • Basic program management skillset, Data driven mindset and issue analysis capability with Engineering degree in EE, ME or SW

  • Fluent in English

  • Self -motivated with good communication skills

Desirable Requirements

  • familiar with ODM/OEM factory process and understand Desktop or IT industry manufacturing process
