The InterContinental Hotels Group® at Dubai Festival City consists of four hotels. These include the luxury and lifestyle brand InterContinental, the lavish long-stay InterContinental Residence Suites, the premium Crowne Plaza, and the essentials Holiday Inn & Suites. In addition to over 1,600 rooms, the cluster boasts a selection of 16 restaurants and bars, an impressive 3,800-square-metre Event Centre across two levels, the 5,000-square-metre Festival Arena by InterContinental, the luxurious Spa InterContinental, and state-of-the-art gym and swimming pool facilities. A little taste of your day-to-day

• Supports daily mise en place and maintains cleanliness in the pastry section.

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and proper storage.

• Assist in basic preparation and production of French pastries, desserts, and baked goods.

• Follows standard recipes and ensures consistency in basic tasks.

• Prepare food, materials, and equipment needed for service in advance.

• Maintain a healthy and hygienic workplace, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

• Follow hygiene, safety, and cleanliness protocols as per hotel and departmental policies.

• Implement and adhere to regulations, policies, and procedures, including:

• House Rules and Regulations

• Health and Safety

• Grooming Standards

• Quality Control

• Hygiene and Cleanliness

• Maintain proper grooming and a professional appearance at all times.

• Communicate politely and display courtesy to guests and colleagues.

• Report any difficulties, guest concerns, or internal feedback to superiors.

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members.

• Attend and participate in daily briefings, meetings, and training sessions as scheduled.

What we need from you

• Diploma or certification in Pastry Arts or Culinary Arts

• Basic foundation in French pastry techniques.

• Passion for delivering exceptional-quality pastries.

• Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
