PROJECT ENGINEER

Actalent is looking for a full-time Project Engineer to support our client, a real estate and management company that has been in business for more than 50 years. They're working on an on-site schedule, 5 days a week.

Job Responsibilities

Our client is looking to hire 1-2 Project Engineers for their team here in their Virginia Beach office. Candidates can be entry level looking to break their way into the construction field. A few years of experience supporting construction in a similar role such as Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, or Assistant Project Manager is recommended. Residential/Developer experience is highly preferred with our client building residential communities, town home communities, and apartment complexes. This person must be hard working, reliable, pay attention to detail, and want a long term opportunity. This person will support residential and town home development projects throughout Hampton Roads.

• Daily logs

• Schedules and monitors work of subcontractors and Punch Out Personnel

• Planning daily allocation or resources and materials

• Managing laborers

• Identifies quality discrepancies and ensures that ensuing repairs are completed properly and in a timely manner.

• Assisting Superintendents

• Executing documents

• Coordinate materials

Qualifications & Experience

• Residential or multifamily construction

• Soft skills: reliable, hard worker, attention to detail, wants long term opportunity

• Willing to learn construction software and implement into daily duties

• 0-3+ years of residential or multifamily construction

• 0-3+ years as a Project Engineer, Assistant Superintendent, Assistant Project Manager, or Field Engineer
