E/I Maintenance Supervisor - Counce Mill
General Summary : The purpose of this position is to be responsible for supervision of all electrical and instrumentation maintenance within a given area.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma and advanced technical training or degree or equivalent experience.
Three (3) to Five (5) years of job-related experience supervising electrical and instrument maintenance in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous paper mill experience a plus.
Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems.
Knowledge-Skills-Abilities
Possess industrial instrument and electrical maintenance knowledge as well as the ability to effectively communicate ideas and motivate subordinates.
Programmable logic controller troubleshooting.
AC/DC variable speed drive maintenance.
AC/DC motor maintenance.
Instrumentation maintenance involving electro-pneumatic and smart transmitters/valves.
Substation Maintenance.
Must be able to work well under pressure and within time constraints, multi-task, and build sound relationships with both internal and external customers.
Must exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational and computer skills.
Must be capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem-solving.
Essential Job Duties
Supervise the daily activities of the E/I mechanics in assigned work area.
Interface with production departments, engineering and maintenance to plan, coordinate and supervise maintenance activities in assigned work area.
Promote a safe work environment and the philosophy that all accidents are preventable.
Investigate all accidents and unplanned incidents in your area of responsibility.
Ensure good housekeeping practices are followed by subordinates.
Make work assignments such that employee skills and knowledge are best utilized.
Responsible for proper administration of the union labor agreement.
Interface with field service technicians and engineers to resolve maintenance issues.
Assist in coordinating monthly planned shutdowns and annual maintenance outages.
Promote failure analysis and preventive maintenance practices.
Perform all duties as assigned by the E/I and Process Control Superintendent.
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
