Universal Studio Group (USG) is seeking a Manager, Finance to join our Studio Finance team. The Manager, Finance will play a unique and integral role in helping manage USG’s greenlight process that aligns our leaders for making strategic decisions on new and returning TV series, as well as contributing to the team’s responsibility for overall studio P&L management. The individual will act as a liaison between multiple facets of NBCUniversal including Business Affairs, Global TV distribution, TV and Streaming (Peacock, NBC Network, USA, Syfy, etc), Creative Development, Production, Participations, and Residuals. This role has visibility across the studio and will produce rigorous financial analysis by modeling prospective deal terms, running complex scenarios, and tracking financial performances. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Finance.
Essential Responsibilities:
Support the studio greenlight process through partnering with internal stakeholders, such as Creative Development, Business Affairs, Global TV Distribution, and Production.
Gather information from the various internal stakeholders to perform financial modeling of prospective deal terms and synthesize into reports that drive decision making on new and returning TV series.
Improve processes for tracking and analyzing key performance metrics versus greenlights and collaborate with internal stakeholders to further drive overall greenlight process.
Prepare pro-forma P&Ls for both ad-hoc requests and recurring reviews with executive leadership.
Responsible for maintaining ultimate P&Ls for co-produced series and working closely with internal stakeholders during pacings, month, and quarter end close to ensure accurate financials.
Perform ad hoc analysis to help studio leadership drive informed decisions as well as influence business decision with effective communication
Basic Requirements:
BS/BA degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or equivalent practical experience
4+ years of experience and demonstrated success in financial management and analysis preferred
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical and PC skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of finance, operations, and senior management

Entertainment / Media / TV Production experience preferred
Willingness to work extended hours with short notice during critical planning cycles
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
