Job description JOB SUMMARY
Maintain a calibration (validation and verification) system to assure initial and periodic calibration for all measuring and test equipment.
Assure compliance to established Process Procedures, Standards requirements and any Customer specific requirements.
Assurance that all measuring devices / test equipment demonstrates conformance to a specification.
Assurance that all CM4D templates are in compliance with customer specifications
Duties
Identify equipment as to calibration status including Customer supplied equipment. Track, monitor, control and update the Master Gage List. Define intervals for confirming the frequency of measuring device / test equipment. Ensure external validation calibrations are to traceable Standards. Ensure the storage, handling and environmental conditions for measuring devices / test equipment is in place and store in a manner to ensure stability of the equipment. Assure all calibration records and verification records are maintained and reviewed to assure integrity of the measuring device / test equipment. Remove or suspend measuring device / test equipment from use when conditions warrant. Perform and participate in Gage R and R studies. Perform CM4D templates, reports, and training of other employees Perform special activities per supervisor request and follow up.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
HS Diploma or GED equivalent required
GSC product and process experience
Calibration database
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Computer literacy (MS office); Knowledge in calibration standards; SPC (statistical process control) basics; MSA (Measurement System Analysis) basics; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 Control of Measuring Device Standards requirements.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear
Employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time

Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Night shift Overtime Weekends as needed
