Robert Half Accounts Payable Supervisor in Tustin, California
Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Supervisor to be a part of our team, operating within the accounting industry, situated in Tustin, California, United States. This position presents a short term contract employment opportunity where you will be supervising the team and ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts payable function.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise the accounts payable team to ensure efficient operation
• Manage high volume invoice processing with accuracy and timeliness
• Handle any backlog of payables swiftly and effectively
• Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable process
• Use accounting software systems to maintain accurate data
• Ensure adherence to accrual accounting principles in processing payables
• Conduct periodic audits to assure compliance and accuracy
• Utilize Automated Clearing House (ACH) for transactions when necessary
• Perform general accounting functions as required
• Code accounts accurately for proper classification of expenses. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounts payable role
• Proficiency in account coding procedures
• Extensive knowledge of accounting software systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
• Proven ability in data processing tasks
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions
• Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) operations
• Expertise in accrual accounting principles
• Skills in auditing financial data
• Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions
• Previous experience in a supervisory role.
