Mississippi Employer Quality Manager in Tupelo, Mississippi

A Quality Manager with an ISO 9001 focus is responsible for overseeing and maintaining an organization's quality management system (QMS) by establishing, implementing, and monitoring procedures to ensure products and services consistently meet defined quality standards, complying with ISO 9001 guidelines, conducting internal audits, analyzing quality data, identifying improvement areas, and taking corrective actions to drive continuous improvement across all organizational functions; essentially acting as the primary advocate for quality within the company, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 standards and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities may include:

· Developing and maintaining the QMS:

Creating, documenting, and implementing quality procedures aligned with ISO 9001 standards, including process maps, work instructions, and quality control protocols.

· Internal auditing:

Conducting regular internal audits to assess compliance with ISO 9001 requirements, identifying nonconformities, and initiating corrective actions.

· Quality data analysis:

Monitoring and analyzing quality data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.

· Reporting and communication:

Presenting quality performance metrics to management, communicating quality issues to relevant stakeholders, and ensuring transparency regarding quality status.

· Training and awareness:

Developing and delivering quality training programs to employees at all levels to ensure understanding of ISO 9001 standards and quality procedures.

· Customer focus:

Understanding customer needs and expectations, ensuring quality meets customer requirements, and managing customer complaints related to quality.

· Supplier management:

Evaluating and monitoring supplier quality performance to ensure compliance with quality standards.

· Continuous improvement:

Leading initiatives to identify and implement process improvements based on quality data analysis and best practices.

· Risk management:

Identifying potential quality risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and monitoring risk levels.

Required skills and qualifications:

· Deep understanding of ISO 9001 standards and quality management principles

· Experience with quality control methodologies, including statistical process control (SPC)

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments

· Leadership abilities to drive quality initiatives and influence change

· Proven experience in conducting internal audits and managing nonconformities

· Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and quality standards
