REPORTING TO: Quality Lab Supervisor
LOCATION: Tulare, CA

This role reports to the Quality Lab Supervisor. The position’s responsibility is to follow good laboratory practices, ensure repeatability testing is performed as assigned by supervisor. Ability to provide our internal customers with real-time product results, perform safety and GMP/housekeeping walkthroughs. This role will analyze and monitor the performance of products to meet plant and customer specifications.

Key responsibilities for this position include:
Strict adherence to established quality, safety, and environmental standards are required.
Ability to identify and remedy defects within the production process.
Understanding good lab practices and maintaining repeatability accuracy.
Provide real-time feedback to operations with out-of-spec results.
Responsible for inspecting and testing dairy products produced at the plant.
Perform routine, documented Quality checks, and escalate any deficiencies and non-compliance findings to the Quality leadership team.
Ensure all employees are adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices.
Ability to work with cross-functional groups to maximize product quality and productivity.
Identify and implement process improvement in laboratory functions.
Requires working with other lab technicians, line foreman, line operators, fork truck drivers, and other production personnel

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:
Computer skills (proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel will be tested)
Sound Communication skills (Oral & Written) Strong Interpersonal Skills. Drive for Results (Involvement in projects, safety efforts, plant and or occupational improvements)
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision Availability to work a variety of shifts/hours according to business needs.
Effective use of time management and organization skills. Ability to set and manage multiple tasks with minimal direction.
Basic knowledge of quality.
Must work in a safe, sanitary and productive manner in accordance to Lactalis Heritage Dairy GMP’s.
