Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Part-Time Bookkeeper with a strong command of QuickBooks or another ERP system and advanced Excel skills. The ideal candidate will support our financial operations by maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to contribute their expertise on a flexible, part-time schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
Utilize QuickBooks or an equivalent ERP system to manage financial data and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Prepare periodic financial reports for management, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Reconcile discrepancies by reviewing and reconciling account statements.
Maintain vendor and customer records and manage communication regarding invoices or payments.
Create detailed financial analysis and reports using advanced Excel functionalities, such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas.
Ensure compliance with applicable tax filings, business licenses, and other financial obligations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance/accounting role.
Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) or other ERP software (such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use pivot tables, conditional formatting, advanced formulas, and data analysis tools.
Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
High level of organizational skills with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a part-time role.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Familiarity with payroll processing systems and tax filings.
Experience in preparing for audits or supporting financial compliance efforts.
Knowledge of industry-relevant financial software or tools beyond QuickBooks.
