DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a County Intellectual Disabilities Program Specialist 1, it is imperative that you familiarize yourself with and support the mission, vision, and values of the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP).  You will work with the Quality Manager (QM) to coordinate implementation and maintenance of ODP's Quality Management Strategy (QMS) in the Administrative Entity (AE).  This position supports QM efforts by supporting AE staff in the development, submission, and implementation of a written Quality Management Plan in accordance with the language in the AE Operating Agreement.

You will support a variety of QM activities, review reports about incidents and the investigation of problems, complaints, and inquires to recommend appropriate corrective action, and ensure implementation and monitoring of ODP initiatives.  Provide technical assistance to AE staff and providers, participate in meetings and training sessions, and prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence as necessary.  You will function as the county point person for intake and eligibility, as well as become certified in QM and serve as an ODP Certified Investigator to complete investigations as assigned.  Provide education and support to school districts and assist staff in developing an employment coalition, working with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) and county stakeholders.  This position also affords the opportunity to lead ID & Autism Awareness months.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours/week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Hours may vary due to travel, after hours appointments, or other related duties. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 18 days per year.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Towanda. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of professional experience in the field of intellectual disabilities, and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.   You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clear nce.
