Specialist, Ad Product and Technology

Who we're looking for:

Are you passionate about digital advertising technology and looking to make a significant impact? Join our dynamic Digital team as a Specialist, Ad Product and Technology! Reporting to the Manager of Digital Advertising Technology, you will play a pivotal role in planning, implementing, and maintaining Rogers' digital ad technologies, sites, products, designs, builds, and platforms. Be the go-to expert for resolving ad-related technology issues and questions.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate and Innovate: Support Sales, Finance, and Development teams on all ad tech projects

  • Master the Tech: Become an expert in our ad servers’ capabilities, reporting metrics, and future enhancements, and understand their relevance to the digital landscape

  • Drive Excellence: Identify technical requirements to ensure ad product solutions meet sales, finance, and client standards

  • Lead with Insight: Provide valuable insights and feedback when selecting new ad technology systems and schedule their implementation

  • Client Advocate: Champion advertising clients’ needs throughout the development and redesign stages of sites or apps

  • Test and Launch: Test and evaluate new ad products before market release

  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with third-party vendors as needed

  • Global Integration: Collaborate with the Digital Partnerships team to onboard and integrate international publishers into our ad network through ad tagging, testing, and product building

  • Document and Update: Maintain and update tech stack architecture, processes, and workflows

  • Campaign Workflow: Work closely with the Manager of Ad Operations to develop campaign workflows, including setup, optimization, and troubleshooting, and assist in training Ad Operation Specialists on new ad executions and processes

  • Quality Assurance: Provide QA support during site or app launches and updates

  • Technical Support : Offer technical support for Audience, Revenue, and Programmatic teams, understanding their business needs

  • Data Analysis : Analyze ad server reports to identify ad tagging issues

  • Data Management: Organize, consolidate, and interpret large data sets using various tools

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in AD Operations

  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and prioritize workload

  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work well with diverse personalities

  • Deep knowledge of display and video ad serving across web, mobile, and video platforms; audio ad serving knowledge is a plus

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, JSON, XML

  • Proficient in Google Sheets or Excel

  • Knowledge of BigQuery, SQL, and Python is an asset

  • Experience with programmatic, header bidding and Prebid is an asset

  • Familiarity with common IAB Standards (e.g., VAST, ads.txt/app-ads.txt/sellers.json, OpenRTB)

  • Experience with Google Ad Manager, Freewheel, Magnite, Springserve, Amazon Publisher Services, Operative, and other SSP platforms is an asset

  • Experience analyzing network traffic using Developer Tools, Charles Proxy, or similar tools

  • Comfort and experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven problem-solving ability, able to find solutions independently by asking meaningful questions and reading documentation

  • Ability to pull reports and analyze data to support assumptions and drive results

  • Independent self-starter who maintains momentum and delivers timely results

  • Ability to understand technical issues and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams

  • French language knowledge is an asset

This is a hybrid work position and will require you to be in office three days per week.
