Our Thetford Service Centre plays a pivotal role within our Waste Water Division. We are dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and reliability of water and wastewater treatment facilities through cutting-edge pump maintenance and upgrades, ensuring an uninterrupted water supply and superior operational performance.
We are thrilled to announce a newly created Workshop Manager position at our Thetford Service Centre. This strategic role is crucial to our leadership and growth initiatives.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Oversee the operations of the Service Centre, including Workshop/Engineering activities, Administration, Customer Service, Logistics, Health & Safety, and HR.
Mentor, direct, motivate, train, supervise, monitor, develop, and appraise the performance of all team members.
Ensure high standards of customer support.
Determine and justify investment requests for technology and plant upgrades.
Maintain accountability for the health, safety, and welfare of the workforce.
Produce reports, forecasts, and business plans as required.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Proven experience in people management, especially in environments with varying customer demands, ideally in an engineering or manufacturing setting.
Engineering qualification preferred but not essential.
Strong knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment regulations.
Comfortable working both on the shop floor and in an office environment.
Resilient and adaptable to change.
Calm under pressure, with the ability to handle the ever-changing demands and scenarios typical in a service-related industry.
