What You'll Be Doing

Job Summary: The basic function of this role is to receive, package, and locate for storage all incoming spare parts, placing on shelves or in drawers, retrieving items for shipping, package and prepare materials for shipment via various means (UPS, FedEx, common carrier, Expedited carrier, etc.). Schedule and coordinate emergency shipments via same-day courier resources. Safely operate plant material handling equipment as required.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Shipping and receiving.

  • Accounting for inventory in an SAP program.

  • Requisitioning parts and material in SAP

  • Cycle and inventory count Texas City sites.

  • Hazmat shipping.

  • Handling of parts both small and large up to 50 lbs.

  • Forklift and pallet jack operation.

  • Maintain inventory of consumable items at our sites in Texas City sites

  • Housekeeping

  • Properly receiving UPS/FED EX

Ideal Background

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in related field from an accredited university is preferred.

Experience: This requires a minimum 2 years of relevant industrial experience.

  • Strong personal safety philosophy

  • Computer skills Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • SAP experience is a plus.

  • Must be team oriented, well organized, and have a willingness to learn and further develop technical skills.

  • The ideal person will be a high energy, motivated individual who poses a strong work ethic and the ability to physically lift and move awkward and/or heavy parts and packages up to 50 lbs. in weight.

  • Pay strict attention to detail to perform tasks in a safe, error-free manner. Perform tasks effectively in a team environment and work with basic desktop computer programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
